GATE - Mining Practice Paper.

Instructions:
  1. This paper comprises two sections: General Aptitude (GA) and Mining Subject (MN).
  2. The duration of the examination is 3 hours.
  3. Questions 1–10 pertain to General Aptitude, while Questions 11–65 relate to the Mining Subject, making up a total of 100 marks.
  4. The types of questions included are as follows:
    1. Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)
    2. Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
    3. Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions
  5. Marking Scheme: Each question carries either 1 mark or 2 marks.
  6. Negative Marking:
    1. Negative marking applies only to MCQ-type questions.
    2. For a 1-mark MCQ, 1/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
    3. For a 2-mark MCQ, 2/3 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
    4. No negative marking will be applied for incorrect answers to MSQ or NAT questions.
    5. No partial marking is applicable for MSQ questions.
